Geographical information system is a set of tools that is used to get data, store, retrieve, analyze, interpret and display of a real world time objects. And remote sensing is collecting data about an object without any physical contact between an object and sensor. GIS and RS application is used in the field of agriculture. By the help of GIS and RS technology we can easily maintain and mange agriculture field. Geographical information system / Remote sensing can be used to create more effective and efficient farming techniques.it can also analyze soil data and to determine; what are the best crop to plant? It is fully integrated and widely accepted for helping government agencies to manage programs that support farmers and protect the environment. Geographical information system in agricultural has been playing an increasingly important role in crop production throughout the world by helping farmers in increasing production, reducing costs and managing their land resources more efficiently.
GIS application in agricultural such as agricultural mapping plays a vital role in monitoring and management of soil and irrigation of any given farm land. GIS application in agricultural also helps in management and control of agricultural resources. GIS agricultural technology helps in improvement of the present systems of acquiring and generating GIS agricultural and resource data. Through GIS application the company uses different spatial, spectral and temporal resolutions for crop mapping yield estimation, crop assessment and crop health, irrigated landscape mapping, Agricultural mapping for detailed vegetation cover and monitoring By the help of GIS technology the Agricultural application are not only monitored and managed but also use in sustainable manner to enjoy in present generation and as well as in future generation.
