Balochistan is the most vulnerable state to the drought. Due to change in rainfall patterns, it receives only a few mm of rain yearly. The orchards of Balochistan are going to dry at alarming stage. The local community totally depends on underground freash water resources. They rural community economically depends on the outcomes of the orchards, as water is depleting in most remote areas of Balochistan, people start migrating towards urban areas that causes urbanization that indirectly causing a high level of water pollution due to improper urban planning, poor sewage system and by throwing openly plastic waste into nearby water bodies. These all issues not only creating environmental destruction but also causing health problems as most of the people does not access to portable drinking water. Besides these depletion in water level also causing conflicts among the communities.
1. In this way to reserve the water resources the sustainable use of water is necessary otherwise Balochistan will become a state where every individual have to pay for a single drop. There should be implementations and introduction of Hi-technology where grey water is treat and then use them for agriculture purposes. Water pollution has not only represented a short term local problem but may have long term consequences with catastrophic environmental, ecological and economic damages.
For this purpose the Geographic Information Systems GIS can be used at different stages such as for planning underground pipelines, for treating the broken pipelines. GIS is powerful tool in all real life in which spatial and temporal dimensions plays a role. Its main function is to provide the data about the availability and destruction of natural resources.in case of water pollution, If the imminent movements of impurities can be for seen, the necessary resources for reducing further pollution can be allocated on time. Other factors like weather conditions, car movement, agriculture practices etc., can also influence. Such factors should be taking into account in forecasting model. GIS were used for analyzing spatial variations of conductivity and land use make-ups in catchment for monitoring stations. It appears that conductivity is related to not only the percentage of urban land use in the catchment but also the cumulative effect of urban land use from upstream. Temporal and spatial resolution can be used for the watershed areas in Balochistan that will make the easier way for civil engineers for construction of Dams. But due to lack of instruments and limited resources the GIS specialist in Balochistan are unable to do their specialization. The instruments and software’s are highly expensive. They purchase their data from external sources.
